Our Favorite Restaurant in Corpus Christi,Texas

Chuck and I love the Tavern on the Bay restaurant located in Corpus Christi, Texas off of Ocean Drive on Peoples Street.

We've been in the area for 3 months now and decided this is our favorite restaurant. Some of the amenities we have enjoyed are the Gift Shop, the bay port where you can either rent or charter a boat for fishing, cruising, or dining; but most of all we love this restaurant.

As you drive down Peoples Street, you can see the restaurant beckoning you to hurry over and smell the aroma of good food being cooked over a grill. I'm salivating just thinking about it.

As you open the door to the restaurant you step onto a boat that has been converted into a combo gift shop, bar, and restaurant. The sign on the front says, "Eat, Drink, and Be Merry," and this expression says it all.

The drinks served at the bar include California Wines and exotic concoctions to blow your mind, but we had their delicious home-brewed ice tea and it was to die for.

The restaurant is designed under a tent on the deck and has a view of the port with boats that are docked, downtown Corpus Christi, and sea birds of every kind.

Chuck and I ordered the blackened burger and home made chips. The burger had crumpled blue cheese, with plenty of onions, on a garlic roll. If you know Chuck, that hamburger was eaten in two seconds. Menu and further description of this restaurant can be found at http://harrisonslanding.net/Harrisons_Landing.cfm ........ Bon Apetite!
